Hey Vikings.
So i know we have been a bit quiet lately.
But this is due to work on our many projects, and real life work taking up our time.
With new year just around the corner we gonna have an full on meeting with our staff and developers. (Not everyone is registered so we won't go out with names.)
Some of you are eager to play our games, and some of you wants to play on our server or as an part of our Arma 3 realism unit.
Let's start of with our games.
We got a total of 13 games planed. But that is way to much for a studio at our size.
So in that meeting of ours we will decide what games to do first.
one thing is for sure though. The first two games that we completely make will be sidescrollers.
But we will have more clear after the meeting.
Our servers will start going live sometime in the 1Q of 2017.
So yesterday / today we officially started our development on a new game. The game as the title of this post will be called "Redemption of Souls".
It will be a pixel styled sidescroller. The scroller will support up to 4 player cooperative play.-
The game is set in a medieval fantasy state. and will follow a longer story line. The game will include 200+ unique enemies, and that's not including the main bosses.
You will be able to select between certain characters, each character has a different fighting style. (Kinda like borderlands)
We will make this game an own section on the homepage and we will post progress and updates on Twitter.
So with several days gone by without even hearing from the support of our server provider, we decided enough is enough.
We left that poor thing behind us and acquired a new provider.
From the time this post goes up we have a new server and we should be online within a few hours.(If everything goes smooth)
Our first priority is to get the TeamSpeak up and running so that will hopefully be up within 30-60 minutes.
Thanks for sticking by and welcome back to our "new" servers.

Welcome to the Wildcards Thread.
Wildcards will still be under development for a good while, but should be able to be played within the next three months.
Wildcards is a gamemode focused around the PMC aspect.
When it fully launches / Releases it will come in two different styles. And will be customly made to suit Altis and Tanoa. And maybe Malden when that releases.
The Two different styles are. PvE and PvPvE.
The gamemode in it self will work in the following way.
In the PvE you will be able to join or create your own PMC.
You can also "lone wolf" it, but this takes away a lot of bonus experience as well as the possibility to get special contracts.
As you progress with your PMC, the PMC will eventually gain level. With this level you can unlock base defense, ammo supplies, vehicle repair and more.
You as a player will also have a level system. With your levels growing you will also be able to unlock different perks.
These perks follow different perk trees. And will follow different play styles.
Here is the following features that will be in the gamemode.
- The following will be available at the first public test -
Invasion - You will have to kill all enemies located within a certain area.
You will also have to locate the enemies communication post in that area
were you will be able to hack their device to prevent them from calling in
reinforcements. You can also go through a longer hack to gain access to
locations of hidden stash. This is more challenging as heavy reinforcements will
be coming when you try this.
Head Hunt contract - You will be given a specific target to kill.
This target might be protected, and all his protection must
be killed as well. These can prove to be difficult as you never
know how big his protection is.
-The following point will not be available during the first public test, but will rather be added during future updates-
Search and Destroy - You will be assigned missions like sabotage.
So you will for example be tasked with destroying enemy ammo
storage. These missions can sometimes prove a challenge.
As you might find heavy protected places.
Hired Protection - You will be assigned a property
or an area to protect. These positions must be protected
at all cost. As you protect them, you never know
if you will just stand around looking at the ground or
get attacked during your time of protection.
Rescue Operation - You will be assigned a person or a group
that is under attack or has been taken hostage.
Value Transport - You will be given a vehicle or specific cargo.
To deliver to a set location. This is not allowed to be brought by air transport.
Rival take down ( PvPvE Only) - As you are part of 1 out of 3
PMC's in PvPvE. they are all competitive rivals. Every now and then
you will be able to accept one of these contracts.
The PMC you will be attacking will have heavy protection.
Only one of these contracts can be active on the map at once.
The winning side in this battle will gain a huge player EXP boost.
There must be at least 10 players at two PMC for this contract
to be avaible to be accepted. And the contract has a cool-down
of 2 hours. It also has a start up cool-down of 15 minutes.
Special Operations - Info coming later
*More will be added later*
Vehicles is a huge part of the battlefield.
Therefore after a few testing sessions you will be able
to buy your own vehicles. These will be stored in a garage system
were you will be able to access your vehicles, both air and ground
Vehicles. Water vehicles wont be stored but can still be bought and sold.
If a PMC is high enough level it can unlock "Free vehicles".
A set amount vehicles can be active with this feature.
Not only vehicles but actual weapons could be good in
a battle as well. You will have to buy all your weapons
and other combat gear as well. At the market.
So i am working on an script that you won't be able to access arsenal, rather you will have a list of pre-set loadouts.
In a UI. the loadouts will be easy to change out and the script will be easy to modify. The first version should be available in the beginning of next week for the Snow Vikings and for vanilla use expect a few days later or a week. A tutorial video should also follow up shortly after, as well as an tutorial post here at the forums.
So i am working on a few scripts for ArmA that helps all you lazy people. I'm not done but this is what to expect
- Lazy Arsenal -
A scripts that builds a fully detailed arsenal ready for use. All you have to do is place a table with the right name on it. The arsenal will come in 3-5 different sizes with several different styles to it.
- Lazy base - This will build a fully working base for you, with defenses and enough vehicles to complete any mission but still keep it challenging. The bases will also come in different sizes. most likely 3-5 sizes here as well.
The "Lazy Base" Will also include the Lazy Arsenal.
- Lazy Operation - The operation script will include the "Lazy Base" script as well. And the operation will be based for 10+ people and will make up about 1-3 hours worth of game-play. The operations will always have 3 or more main objectives as well as 1 or more side objectives.
The scripts will launch in the order that they are written.
Name: PMC: Warfare (Private Military Company/Private Military Contractors: Warfare) Theme: Shooter SP/MP: Both Campaign: Yes Engine: Unreal Engine 4
PMC: Warfare is a shooter game based around the PMC style. You will have to build your own PMC from the ground up as well as building up your character from the ground.
The game will feature a story / Campaign, but will focus a lot on its contract system. Now what is this contract system? Well it's the ground consent behind every PMC.
You will be able to get these contract by contacts you meet through out the game as well as secret web pages. These contracts can be Assassinations, protecting a VIP, delivering cargo, dealing with illegal weapons trading and much more.
You can do these contract how ever you want, just remember every action has a consequence. For example you get an assassination contract, your target likes to hang out at an cafe.
Like mentioned you can do this how ever you want to, just think of the consequences. The streets might have cameras to you you start an all out shooting you will have issues with the government.
If you decide to bomb the place you might end up having to serve a long jail time as well as loosing contact to your contact.
Or you can be a bit more creative. Mix some poison in his coffee, or wait for him to leave and make it look like an traffic accident. Wait for him to get home and snipe him from across the street or sneak in to his home. And plant evidence making it look like an suicide. The possibilities are endless. Just always remember to read the small print. Some contracts want you to do them in a specific way.
When it comes down to your character you will have to train him up as well. From weapons training to physical training. Were a lot has a factor on what you do. You do physical training. you can move faster and carry more equipment. Weapon training will help with recoil and weapon maintenance.
What about the PMC part? Well you can either build your own company up from the ground or you can join one that is already created by others. Every mission can be played by 4 persons or more.
So you will always be able to play with 3 of your friends. If all members of the party is in the same PMC you will gain exp for that PMC as well as an extra EXP boost for everyone that is playing.
- Contract Info -
Some contracts will be marked. These are the meaning behind some of the markings.
Timed: The contract has a set time limit like a date and time of day. That it needs to be completed to gain the given exp and money for.
Global: These contracts can only be accessed by having an internet connection and being part of an high level PMC. You will have to fight a time limit as well as the contract is open for everyone that can complete it first. It can also be open until the firs PMC accepts it. As it might be an protection mission and only 1 PMC can do it at the time.
Free: The contract has no time limit, and just needs to be completed when you got the time or fire power to do so.
- Contract Types -
Assassination: You will be given a person or group to execute. The group is never bigger than 5 persons but can be protected by a lot more. Each of these contracts will provide as much information as the contact that gives it to you know. This contract type can be timed, global or free.
Protection: With these contracts you will be given a person, an area or an object to protect for a certain amount of time. or to get the person / object to a specific area in one piece. These contracts are either Global or Timed
Illegal Dealing interception: These contracts require you to stop illegal tradings either while they are happening or before. They are for medium or higher. The tradings can be weapons dealing, drug dealing or even human trafficking.
*More will be added later
So away from the shooting i'm guessing there isn't anything else to do? Oh there is going to be so much more to do than just run around shooting people.
to start off we will have several hubs that you can visit to get daily/weekly contracts. And meet other players that might be looking for an recruiting PMC or maybe wants to play one of our many mini-games.
Like darts, pool, air hockey, arcade machines and more.
Or if you have some money spend it on an apartment from lower class to high class. Or like mentioned above, you can to physical training so head to the gym to do some workout. Meet up with some of your other buff friends and kill some weights.
Head to the weapon range and shoot some targets. Or just stay in an bar hub and see how much your character can handle in the drinking games.
If you still wants some action but don't wanna shoot, jump against other players or AI in some mix martial arts fighting.
Maybe you want it a bit more family friendly, go and play at one of the many mini golf areas located in the world.
We will have a lot to do. I can't put all the info in here as i would just sit here writing a book. So i'll rather answer questions about the game in this post and in PM's.
To participate in our operation you will need a certain set of mods to even be able to connect to the server.
We have made this of total 17 mods. The list might grow or shrink through out the time.
The required mods are the following.
- CBA A3

We will try to keep you guys updated as often it is happening an update to any of these mods. But keep an eye open yourself as this isn't a daycare center.
Also additional recommended mods can be found in in the steam link. So choose the required ones, and then you are free to choose any of the other ones.
See you guys on the battlefield.
In the steam link there is a few Advanced, Rappelling and Sling loading scripts. They are in the operations, but by subscribing to them custom sounds and animations will come with them.(This dose not include advanced movement.)
All leaders and officers will reply to this post. Seeing how i am the founder i might as well start off.
I am the main founder of the Snow Vikings (Studio and everything related) and the leader of the unit.(Might change in the future you never know haters.)
I'm from Norway and i am 23 year old. I got a smaller background in the army as Infantry. I enjoyed every moment of it and unsure if i am going back.
Competitive gaming is not "My cup of tea". Therefore i decided to make this unit that will almost only be focused on PvE. I wanted something with structure in it
and decided to jump in. I have been making plugins and missions for Arma for over 2 years close to 3 now. I enjoy it and can't see my self walking away from arma the coming years.
I like to look at myself as a friendly guy, i like to chat and play video games like any other person. But when it comes to mil-sim i take my role seriously.
And might not be the one you will be used to outside the operations.
In the unit it self i am ranked Lieutenant Colonel and is currently the highest ranked. This again might change as the unit grows.
In operations, i play the role as the main unit commander. And Team leader of the SOG team "Nova".
This is me in a small brief. I think it will cover the basics. If not ill update this later.
