Hey guys
here is finally our first SITREP on our game.
The game is in development, that is safe to say at this point.
The game is also still in early planing.
I ( Fredrick Walker ) is currently the only one working on the game.
This is due to other members of the studio still have school and other projects they are working on.
So what is getting done? well the following is
- Working on HUB map.
- Working on "Heimdal" an large map with a few abounded locations.
- Acquiring weapon models.
- Writing lore.
- Working on game mechanics
Everything else is still in the planing phase.
I do not have any release date on when the first testing version will be available.
Stay tuned at the forums for more info on that.
I'm also all open for tips and ideas on what could make it in to the game.
It's as i said a one man show for now but i will continue to work on it as much as i can.
I know this is a short SITREP, but the ones coming in the future will be more detailed.
Kindly
Fredrick Walker, Main founder and Developer
SWC - Shadow Warrior Company
Is our newest part to TFV. Its a force somewhere between the normal infantry and the special force. Its a force that previusly only been used as ai's during official operations.
But now have made their way over to being a playable force. And we are hoping to see more people interested in doing a tryout for.
Special Force
The special forces has started doing something we call mini operations.
They are smaller operations that is focused around objectives special forces do during the main operations.
The SOG has changed their main uniform from A0R1 to MC.
SOAW now will fly armed black hawks thanks to an recent CUP update.
Breifly a week ago operation Raven took part.
It was a joint operation by the SOG, TAS and SWC.
The op took part on Altis, Kavala. In an office buildning close to the sea.
It was a hostage situation. Syndikat forces was behind the hostage taking.
And told they will be killing more people if NATO dont pull out.
The situation was handeled by SOG team Kilo - 001 on the main assault and hostage rescue.
SOG Team Kilo - 003 On overwatch. TAS on support and SWC was brought in to fight possible ambushes.
The rescue attempt started 10:06.
An ambush happend shortly after at 10:08
The buildning was cleared from hostiles at 10:11
After that a bigger ambush happend and forced Kilo - 001 to hold their position for 15 minutes
With constant gunfights. At one point the Syndikat forces had sorounded the buildning.
After clearing a path to the pier an chinoc was able to rescu Kilo - 001 and the VIP's unharmed.
For TAS and SWC the fight continued for another 90 minutes.
Loca police could later confirm that the threath was over.
Time to bring the long and awaited news of the unit.
As most of you know, i moved the 1st of March to my new place, the new house owners promised a good and stable internet line.
That is something i am still searching for. The internet is slow and unstable. This comes with many problems, for me and.. well the unit.
So what is going on in the unit?
Well the unit is getting improvements and operations and alike getting build for it.
I am building campaigns for 1-8 people focusing on the "backstory" of the unit, and it's special forces.
The campaigns will last 4 hours each, and it's a bit uncertain on how many of them it will be.
I am also building a training map that you can run with or without mods.
And it don't require any actual officer to be there as an AI will be there and look at you and how you are doing.
Also as it goes by, i want to start training more members to become a member TAS ( Tactical Assault Squad ) a special force.
As i will be able to build custom operations for those small Fireteams, instead of building for a large infantry platoon.
And for everyone's horror, i will be adding another mod to the mod list. The USS Nimitz will be added as it serves us better then the CUP flight carriers.
I will be stepping down from LTC to LT and the leader role will go over to an AI. Known as LTC Williams. As i feel i do more for the unit taking part in the field, instead of staying in a war room in a flight carrier. This will change again if the unit requires a more human leader. ( Read more about this on the "The Story of Task Force Viking" forum post. )
The Unit page on our main homepage will get more and more updates in the coming time. So stay updated there.
If the Special Force part interests you, contact me in a PM and we will set you up for training.
Thank you for sticking by guys.
More updates will come more frequently.

Task Force Viking, is a NATO attachment created in the summer of 2016.
The attachment was created under the command of Colonel "CROSSROADS" Armstrong.
Therefore CROSSROADS is the one assigning us missions.
Though he is usually not there to command during the missions,
so we a commander taking care of forwarding CROSSROADS orders.
Our commander is LTC. Williams, known under the callsign .
The attachment is assigned to anti-terrorism at a world wide range.
Task Force Viking also has a few under-attachments.
Attachments like
Air Force
TAS ( Tactical Assault Squad - Special Force )
SRF ( Sniper Recon Force - Special force )
CDT ( Convert Diving Team - Special Force )
ARS ( Advanced Rescue Squad - Special Force )
SOAW ( Special Operation Air Wing - Special Force )
SOG ( Special Operations Group - Top Tier Special Force )
Thees attachments are resolving several missions a week, far behind enemy lines.
Name: Operation Bear Paw
Status: Completed, Mission was failed
Participants: 3 (Expected was 8)
Debrief:
The operation went a bit different than planed. Started of with loosing Bear-2 early on, due to becoming target practice for the enemies RPG's after one of the tracks got stuck.
Our SOAW got shot down. The situation had changed and the enemies had the lead.
Communication failed early on in the operation, and turned everything in to chaos.
The mission dragged on for about 3 hours in total. After gaining control of the situation after two of those our HVT was spotted in another city.
During the last raid he slipped under our hands and managed to escape us.
The SOG will be tasked with relocating him during next weeks Special Operations.
More ACE3 Medical training is needed.
Thanks to
Nordern and Razor for the participation.
